It is sad
I spent a good portion of my brain-space this evening on watching the UK election results come in and examine the platforms. The major advantage of that particular elections is that I can express political opinions freely. Rooting for the Liberal Democrats, on the chance they can fill the role of kingmakers and push proportional representation through. The Conservatives seem to be likely to get the most votes but I am fairly certain it will be a hung parliament led by Labour at this point.
Gotta say I am impressed by the record turnouts in that election and the fact that there are a healthy number of small parties getting representatives in. While some of them are downright fascist (Looking at you BNP), it's pleasant to see a wide variety of political views being heard in a democratic forum. At least in comparison to the north American models.
