Favourite episode of procedurals

Hi all,

I am trying to put together an RPG setting based on police procedurals, legal dramas, forensics etc. I need to do some research, since I havn't been following these genres terribly well?  I was wondering if you could direct me to some of your favourite in-genre episodes of various procedural TV shows.  Specific episodes would be great, since I can probably only watch about 10-20 of them in total.

Types of Shows I am talking about: CSI, Law and Order, ER, Bones, Dexter or House

Hrm, police procedurals... The last three episodes of Season 6 of the original Law and Order are very good. With SVU, I'd suggest anything from season 2 or season 3. NCIS isn't quite a police procedural, being as they work under slightly different rules, but it's really good for the medical examiner (oh Ducky <3) and actually showing autopsies and forensics a bit. (Although the forensics is unrealistically fast. Sigh.)

For cold cases, anything from New Tricks is excellent but imho the first episode of season 2 is one of the best hours of television I've ever seen.

Good! I have been busy trying to design games and being distacted by Google+. That, in addition to my day job, have really distracted me.

Distractions are terribly prevalent sometimes. :3 Writing group has been my biggest distraction lately. Deadlines are a magnificent thing.
