Well, here is the rather late update with regards to my last weekend. Overall, t'was a good time.
Friday: Woke to a happy birthday and a gift of a monitor. Definatly fun, although i wish it didn't occur at 6.15 am. Unfortuantly i had to run off to work where upper management decided to break labour law again. They took scheduling powers away from the manager (its in her job description) so that they could change our schedule with less then a week's notice. I learned on the friday the 24th that they wanted me to work the morning of sunday the 26th. Umm, no. With a side of no. Net result of the whole sordid affair is that im only working 5 hours this week on saturday morning. Lets just say im glad that i have already reached my minimum savings target for summer school and bus-pass.
Made it to the house in enough time to gather foodstuffs. The party itself was fairly good, with some people i didn't expect and missing a few that i did expect to see. Much enjoyment with Faye and Queenie before the party came to an end. The only downside of the evening (other then a little bit of now-resolved relationship drama) was the consumption of a "Prarie Fire". Oh well, i proved my stamina 4. The Amaretto Sour more then made up for it anyways.
Saturday: Woke up late, albeit most enjoyably. *smiles* Then we managed to have a number of people arrive for the Demon game. It might have been one of the most enjoyable game i have ever run. It ran from 7pm till 2am. Highlights involved:
1) Ben's russian mobster breaking into a chemical facility with a voice-modulating Darth Vader mask on. "Im playing a practical joke on Murphey." "I lost a bet... i can't wait until my shift is over."
2) Mike's Slayer traveled to Stygia and was rather cooly received. That warmed up after he practically saved the city from a Spectre assault. With a high-torment effect. He made it behind thier ranks and effectively summoned them all with the spectre-beacon effect of his high-torment evocations.
Sunday: Jodo was decent and despite the lousy sunday bus service i made it home in time for a delicious home-made birthday dinner. Ran off to a good gurps supers game then returned to my haven.
So yeah, definatly fun.
