One of the key bits is a program called "Alexandria" which allows you to create a massive database of book information and all you need to provide is a title or a ISBN. It is incredibly fast, allows for you to track books loaned, allows for multiple libraries, gives accurate information on things like authors and even accounts for transfers of books between libraries and exporting of the library lists.
If anyone has 5+ gig free on their computers, is local and wants to try it out i can do the full install for you. I have been downloading everything i can get my hands on in addition to grabbing stuff from my windows drive (painlessly) and i am only at 5.3 gig out of my 40 gig hardrive. Have i mentioned that it is free?
