In the garden of eden, baby
Sep. 16th, 2007 04:57 pmWe planted an apple tree in the back yard at my parent's place a good 15 years ago or so and it just started to produce a few fruits a couple years ago. Well, this was the first real harvest.
120 lbs of apples thus far, with an estimate that we will top 200 lbs total once the remainder is picked from the tree. We have laundry baskets full of apples. The folks have managed to produce 2 apple pies and a heck of alot of apple sauce thus far, with apple strudel, apple chips (aka dried apples) and more to come. If anyone (local) wants organic apples, let me know and they can be provided. :) We gots oodles.
