I am considering a few research projects and one of these would require a professional-looking non-intensive website.  I'm talking text and normal sized/resolution images, nothing complex nor offering downloadable content.     While i know that i could get a cheap ass geocities account, the need for it to be somewhat professional means that option is not feasible.

Ideally all i need is a domain name of some variety (.org or .net probably) and hosting services of some kind.  What would be the most economical way of doing this?

I will hopefully know by tomorrow morning whether i will be at the party on Saturday.  If i am, then i will hopefully see m'lady there although i have not had such a happy assumption confirmed.  If i am free and may see her i will be glad.    Hell, sometime in the future when there is more time i might kindly request her assistance with my back but i doubt there would be time nor energy for giving her more homework.

Oh, another hope is that of being a field assistant for the geomatics and  landscape ecology laboratory at Carleton.    While i don't have the grades to get the lions share of the funding, i could potentially be earning $2800 over the four months which would keep me comfortable while on the permanent job hunt.  More importantly, the experience would be nigh on priceless.  Yes, i realize that income is less then minimum wage for full time, but it would be a hell of a lot more rewarding and i would not be likely to get full time minimum wage anyways.

Insert complaint about minor ailments and i am ready to post this post..  Later.
