Happy Holidays folks

I had slightly unusual loot. Chiefly because a large portion of it was useful rather then fun, which is hardly a surprise considering my wish list  and the likelyhood of moving out before next Christmas.

Useful:

• Chest-waders for doing sampling in rivers, streams or lakes. Very handy in fieldwork although the folks had no idea if i would like them. I do so things are golden.
• Good quality luggage
• Towels of both the bath and dish varieties
• Kitchen supplies

Fun:

• A bottle of Chambord, raspberry liqueur  (expensive but nice
• 30$ worth of LCBO gift certificates for alcohol
• 20$ chapters gift certificate
• 4gig USB Key from a very interesting friend of the family
• Linkin Park: Minutes to Midnight CD.  Look at their website and you can see why I respect them enough to buy the CD.
• Hand-me down IPOD from my Dad (2gig + screen) to replace my 1 gig screenless Ipod shuffle.

Predictably I bought everyone leather.  I still have Angela's new jacket which will be given on new-years eve.   In order to pay for x-mas though, I am working tomorrow. 7:30am to ~9pm.  13+ hours at stat pay rates + boxing day commission.  That ought to help the bank account.

Closing notes

While today did not feel like Christmas, I had a relaxing day on a whole. Much revelry was had since this is the last x-mas where the whole family is guaranteed to be in one place. Refreshments a plenty were had to the point that my liver was likely displeased with me. Oh well, things were quiet enough and I ought to be rejuvenated in time for work.
