My first feeling is sympathy for the poor sods who work for Bell and are being blasted for the idiocy of the big bosses. There are a great many good people doing an honest days work and a few ... individuals up the chain are not making their lives easy.
My second feeling is Righteous Indignation. Bloody hell, not only is that screwing with proper ISP competition (choking out the resellers) and messing with net neutrality, breaking contracts with customers/companies but also directly attacking VoiP. VoiP is the only competition for phone service and strangling that is quite possibly a violation of multiple laws. At the very least, there are a number of folks who are quite pissed about this set of affairs.
Now the fear is simple. I don't know if/when Bell will start to sucker-punch me via my ISP. All I know is that Sympatico has lost any chances of getting me as a direct customer and I might avoid Bell on a whole for this maneuver unless things are reversed.
