Ramblings before unconciousness
Apr. 8th, 2008 10:49 pm1) The fecking internet has been dying on me more and more. I cannot wait until I have the opportunity to move out and get something resembling net access. You know, if there is even net access to get.
2) Work has been relatively non-horrid, even fun in a way thanks to podcasts (The Eclectic Review at http://eclectic.libsyn.com/). Work has also been more varied in the random clerical tasks assigned, meaning that I have been doing a novel kind of work. Hell, it even makes me feel like I am being productive.
3) Finished reading "Steppenwolf" by Herman Hesse. I recommend it to
hexpiritus if she hasn't read it yet. It is thought provoking for certain.
4) Reading Alpha Omega and enjoying the ride. The fluff is awesome and the crunch is well done (albeit a tad plentiful). Hell, some of the game mechanics are similar to the ones I am using in my own project which makes me smile a tad. In terms of the setting, imagine a hybrid of Shadowrun and Engel. Poooosibly a bit of Innomine in there for flavour. It is a very cohesive setting and some of the world design elements make me laugh. Little things like Mexico City and it's harsh immigration controls to keep out unwanted uneducated forigners. Or the fact that the island that rose out of the atlantic off the coast of Brazil? Yeah, it was turned into the net equivalent of Los Vegas 2.0.
Jag out.
