Yay for cognative dissonance
May. 13th, 2008 09:10 pmNifty little concept which could explain things. If you encounter a paradox, your mind subconsciously chooses one of the options and shapes your interpretation to match it. Unfortunately, this can cause either deception or exaggeration of certain facts. I am currently trying to avoid this tendency at the moment, for there is one little conflict which ought not be resolved one way or the other. Choosing the middle ground is tough when you are set against your own mind.
Oh, and my mother decided to acquire a "Gazebo" for mothers day. It is actually more of a dining shelter, but whatever makes her happy. Just means the backyard is now officially impossible for me to use. I do fear the gazebo.
