Random facts for the update
Oct. 31st, 2008 09:58 pmIn no particular order, I have the ability to travel now at work as well as the ability to strike effectively. Woot for that, though I hope to use the former more then the latter.
Got a cheap massage from the Algonquin clinic today. Nice student and generally helpful, excellent technical skill; my back has never felt so good though my arms/wrists weren't helped that much by her ministrations. Worth it in the end though.
One of my old competitions for Statscan is offering me an oral interaction french as a second language test on Tuesday. If I fail, no harm comes to me. If I succeed, I can keep the result and transfer sideways into the bilingual job (which pays another $800 a year and gives me much better career options.
Moving a week tomorrow. I need to do some serious packing tomorrow; emptying out my closet and packing up things like shelves. While I am glad for a local move, it will still be rather intensive and I am nervous about it simply because it is my first move for myself rather then others.
