Dec. 27th, 2008 01:44 pmGot a very nice pair of Binoculars (Bushnell H20 8x42), a nice black sushi set for two, Dust Buster, Cookbooks and four classic sci-fi books. Very domestic Christmas but a useful kind of domestic. Also took the opportunity to get functional earbuds for my iPod and a really handy gamer headset. Now I just need to learn how to make proper sushi and fix a tech issue.
The issue? I have a persistent relatively high-pitch whine on my audio output (Speakers or any headphones. The pitch changes very slightly and is may be drowned out by increasing device volume while decreasing the master volume on the computer. Any attempt to record audio results in significant amounts of static underneath the audio. I do not currently have a separate soundcard and am resorting to the onboard inputs, would that be a possible solution? Are there any other configurations I could try?
