Two-Four

Nice and relatively quiet day. I got plenty of birthday well-wishes online (Thanks all of you) and I wound up going to my folks place this evening for dinner. Wine, a roast, potatoes, veggies and a lovely cheesecake did well to bring a smile to my face (and knock me out afterward).

As for loot, I got a rather expensive lamp apparently in addition to a shirt, cookbook on street food and little tea-light holder. Not exciting, but these little things are appreciated. I did need that lamp anyways, even if it is reminding me that I need to optimize the power distribution within my apartment.

Oh, also spoke with my new boss at work. I will wind up moving even farther away for work, but at least they are supportive with me job hunting. They are putting to work on a few projects which need manpower to complete rather then continuing to develop me for succession within my current unit. Das is good, I long to do actual science.
