Any Port in the Storm

It was a great pleasure to attend the Port Party at daggibs last night. I enjoyed a wide variety of fine ports, excellent chocolate and wonderful conversation. I believe that might have been the most drunk which I have been, though even then I believe that I had enough sense to avoid insult or reckless behaviour.

It's a good sign when one may have a protracted conversation with one's ex, while having copious amounts of booze in the system, without causing undue offense.

Goodness is

Attended an excellent class of Jodo today, largely due to the fact that I didn't have to teach. :) We were doing back to basics training and it seemed very useful for the three of us in the class. It was a pity that Jodo didn't work out for piledhighcurls, but she has a large amount on her plate as is. At the very least I had a good conversation with her on the way into class.

Marinaded some chicken breasts in a balsamic vinegar, white vinegar and red wine mixture with some onion powder, rosemary and thyme mixed in. Baked them up, cut them into strips and now I have sandwich filling for my week. That on sage sourdough bread and my lunches shall be excellent. I also had spicy homefries made from sweet potatoes and normal organic potatoes as my dinner which was rather tasty.

The best thing out of all of this? I have actually been getting some progress on writing my game. I seem to have passed into a productive state of mind and I'm not going to let this go to waste after so long being left in the motivational wasteland.
