Salvaging something out of distraction

I have been trying to hack away at my writing, over the weekend and this evening. Unfortunately I have been doing my usual "I wonder what is shiny on the internet" thing and thus my productivity is too low for my preference. I am also being distracted by the shiny ideas which I will be able to express 1-2 years from now when the game is complete. They are seriously neat ideas, but almost useless to me right now.

The real reason for this post was to mention that Ottawa folks may grab some free audio books from the library for french instruction, if you are interested. While they wouldn't help me much, I know that a number of you might benefit from some of the more fundamentals. Free is also good. On this note, my little sister over in Alberta for the past year took her french testing for the federal government and got solid C's. C is the maximum normal rating and despite me working in Quebec with a french girlfriend I am certain I couldn't match that feat. I am both happy for the sis and envious of her language skills.
