Trivium

I have roasted coffee for the second time, thanks to Xiphia and her incredibly kind generation of her well loved coffee roaster. I had purchased a total of 6 lbs of green coffee beans, spread out over 9 different varieties and thus have a great deal of time for experimentation. This particular attempt was to simply max it out, run the thing on maximum and see what the result is. Turned out to be a surprisingly light city roast at first glance which indicates that my next approach should involve manually increasing the roasting time by a few minutes. I know that my very first attempt was quite drinkable so I have faith this one should be as well.

Beyond that, work is an odd mixture of hectic insanity and resigned melancholy. Perhaps the overcast weather has led to the latter mood or it might simply be endemic to my status as bureaucrat.
