So yeah, it is currently impossible for our car to leave the driveway. Over a foot of new snow is on the ground since yesterday, meaning that snow-pants are a necessity. Or, if you are like me, something else. I have chest waders which I got for christmas, nylon and neoprene things which have thick boots merging seamelessly with pants going up to the chest. Add in some wool socks, and this is enough to walk in a meter or two of water without a problem. It should work equally well with snow.
