I have been using my shiny new Ipod of late and accordingly have been using it to listen to a wide variety of content. I figure that I should spread some of the fun for those of you who might enjoy free audiobooks or some neat podcasts. The first thing in the list is the book which I recommended for folks at the party.
Infected, by Scott Sigler. This is currently in the making, but it is lots of fun thus far and m'thinks that Queenie (and possibly Frances) would like this.
The Secret World Chronicle : The best superhero fiction I have ever had the pleasure to listen to. Heartily recommend it (and also think that Red Saviour would be a favorite of Q.)
The Starship Sofa: Reviews of Sci-fi on saturdays and free audiobooks on wednesdays. Lost of fun, especially as they recently released the audiobooks of the 5 nominees for the British Science-Fiction Awards.
The Eclectic Review: A fun talk podcast with a sci-fi author and a biologist. Great for anyone tinkering with one or the other area, as I have learned a good bit of fiction techniques from this husband and wife duo.
Quirks and Quarks: Weekly explanation of science and technology, explained by a great host talking to the experts. I work with some of the people who have been interviewed in the past. :P
Spark: Technology trends, internet phenomena and new social changes linked to the latest and greatest.
Have I mention that it's all free. :) Much fun.
