My opinion of OC transpo has chilled.

jagashI think the 80 minutes outside in the freeking cold snowstorm did it. I understand the weather was bad, but i was waiting at Bayview for 50 minutes. 3 O-trains came and went while i waited. So, the 63 shows up finally after that time and goes right _past_ us; it seemed filled to the brim. After some resulting head-bashing, i waited some more and a few minutes later another 63 shows up. Things are allright until we reach the bus station (Centrum) on the opposite end of Kanata from my place. Why does this worry me? Oh yeah, that station is _not_ on the 63's route. It stops and the bus driver explains that the windshield was getting too much snow or something of that ken so he had to stop.
Now, this would be allright if he was just gonna clean the windshield and finish the route. Or let us stay in the bus (where it was less cold and snowy) while we waited for another one. Nope. Kicked us off the bus for no fooking reason while it stayed idling and warm within sight. We had just missed the last local bus which had been at the stop so waited for another half hour for it to appear. 20 minutes later, the bus finally arrived at my place.
Net result? 80 minutes waiting outside for the bus + 70 minutes on busses = 2.5 hours commute.
I left carleton at 4.00 and got home at 6.25. Its normally HALF that time.

Ok, now on to happier things. Due to the universe deciding to spare me, my financial situation is far better then i thought. I purchased my genetics book for 126$ on monday and freaked out that i would be totally broke before books were done. Well, turns out that i am re-using the first year bio textbook for Animal: Form and Function. I am also using a book given to me free by a friend of the family which happens to be exactly what i am using in my calc class and using the same book for history as last semester. To top it all is the true gem; my Java class asks for a 102$ book which the astounding Erica is lending to me for the semester free of charge :). So, after buying about 22$ worth of lab books i have finished purchasing all of my books for the semester for only 150$ total. So, would people want me to visit the Gamer House friday? I am going to spend a bit of time with the GF but i would like to come on over if people havn't decided to ostacise me yet.
