Improvements and progress
Sep. 12th, 2007 12:35 amI began the day be sleeping in and it was a glorious success. I managed to recover somewhat from the funk i had fallen in and was generally in a more productive frame of mind. I worked on the resume and applied for a few places before running off to my temp agency to deal with more security clearance issues [1] then to class.
Landscape Ecology is the single greatest class that i have gotten into. It is the pinnacle of my university career. I not only enjoyed the lecture immensely, but i also got talking to a watershed ecologist for the Rideau Valley Conservation Authority. This fellow gave me plenty of useful advice and contact info for an aquatic biologist looking for volunteers. I also got in touch with an old classmate of mine who gave me a lead on an overnight GIS job for Terrapoint. All of those were fortunate.
And this evening i have been writing up my courses taken. Decided to disprove those of you who claim my supposed intelligence. I have gotten the following letter grades in university:
3 F's, 2 D's, 11 C's, 8 B's and a mere 6 A's.
[1] You know the incompetent person who was running the temp agency part of the security clearances? I asked her directly what bits to sign at the time and followed her instructions. Apparently i she was wrong which meant that there was an extra 3 weeks added onto the processing time. Joy.
