Proselytizing Linux
Jan. 4th, 2009 09:40 amI am a fan of Linux, I admit this freely. I use both windows XP and Ubuntu linux on my desktop and enjoy the open source movement. There is something delightful with huge amounts of high quality free software, some of which is both in windows and linux. I like free stuff. :)
On that note, if there is anyone on my friends list who is interested in Linux, I found an excellent basic introduction to Linux in podcast/audio format. If anyone is interested in finding out more, the first two episodes (~45 minutes total) gives a basic introduction to linux and the open source movement without any technobabble. http://www.linuxreality.com/
While I am not I am not an advanced linux user in the slightest, however I am interested in learning more and I thought I should share this. I can answer some basic questions for folks playing around with open source / linux.
/gets off soapbox
