I am in the middle of a quasi-productive four day weekend. I have come to the realization that my life is far too busy. As soon as that revelation struck, things started breaking on me.
Firstly, I surprise need for a medical exam due to pension things. This meant I needed to pay 120 (in cash) out of my own pocket for this bloody medical exam. Tax deduction, but still not kind on the finances about 4 days before my next pay.
Secondly, my el-cheepo bike died on me. I wound up buying a $400 new replacement bike which ought to last me and also rides like a dream. My credit card is trying to contact the human rights tribunal, but it is quite shiny and considering it is one of my primary forms of transportation, I think it reasonable.
Thirdly, I shattered my glass coffee pot accidentally for my lovely and cheap coffee maker. I replaced it with a $130 Cuisinart brand one, one that looks like one of those commercial ones with an internal reservoir and the ability to dispense coffee from said reservoir at a touch. The Model in Question. No coffee pot means no fighting to get a proper replacement. At least I still have the excellent grinder that I got with the old coffee maker and the old one had only cost me 35. Still, my credit card followed up with the supreme court after that little purchase.
The combination of shopping, spending time with the folks, spending time with Eve and general social time means that I have gotten an insufficient amount of work done. This shall be rectified over the next couple days I hope though I fear I may be forced to back out of a board games day on monday so as to write more. We shall see.
