The aforementioned suckerpunch has indeed occurred. Bell has officially lost all my business for the foreseeable future. This includes landline, internet or cellphone. That is a not inconsiderable chunk of change, but that is what happens when bigwigs decide to break multiple laws, use false advertising, violate my privacy and choke the competition though underhanded tactics.
Next question; how technically feasible would it be for all the smaller ISP's to build their own backbone for an independent network, at least in the major cities? I would gladly pay double to triple the normal DSL prices to Storm if they could pull that trick off.
