First things first, I ought to state that I am finally happy. It may not last, but for the moment I am content and calm in mind/body/heart which is something I have been longing for a long while. No, there are no sudden revelations or anything. I have simply managed to live my life with the assistance of friends and the world on a whole in a positive fashion. Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but for now I am content.
So, for the elements of the weekend which have led to such a pleasant state. I ran my game on friday night with friends and we are approaching some conclusion which has been long led up to. Saturday morning I gave 2 ancient D&D books for my first DM who could find the most use out of it. I then headed out to a day of board gaming with
ironphoenix, finally playing a game I own (Caylus) and a few others. Went out for an excellent dinner, furthering the socializing which filled the gaming time. Then I headed off to Revamp for a bit over an hour. While I was unable to stay any longer due to arrangements for rides, I enjoyed the time there. Sunday had a small session of Jodo with only myself and the old instructor which improved my techniques tremendously. After the practice, I was off to Kanata where I was able to catch "The Dark Knight" finally. While I watched it alone, the movie was more then good enough to make it worthwhile even solo.
Thank you to everyone whom have together made my weekend so lovely and brought me to this contentment. I truly appreciate it.
