Well crap. First major medical problem for my folks, other then my mother screwing up her arm a year or so ago. My mother went into the clinic for some severe abdominal pains and they saw her gallbladder on Xray. This is not typical; it was calcified. This is normally found in people with high sodium and high fat diets and is always found in cases of cancer of the gallbladder.
Odds are she will be fine (it is likely to be removed in the near future) but it's not making me happy. I know full well that individuals are mortal and that chance of mortality increases with age. They are young, but I know there will be a heck of a lot of heartache in the decades to come.
